The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulate Prof. Dr. Ong Wee Jun from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, Xiamen University Malaysia for being listed among the 2024 Highly Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier published on 25 March, 2025, for his exceptional research performance in the field of chemistry.  

This year the recognition is extended to 6,388 researchers from 547 institutions across 10 different subject areas. The list uses Scopus, a global citation and index database, to track the scientific research achievements of Chinese Scholars. A total of 67 scholars from Xiamen University were selected, including Prof. Ong Wee Jun, the only recipient from Xiamen University Malaysia. Prof. Chen Huanyang, a Professor of Physics from Xiamen University China to support the teaching and research in Xiamen University Malaysia is also on the honor list.
