The School of Computing and Data Science (SCDS) successfully hosted the prestigious Dean’s List Award Ceremony on 7 March 2025, celebrating the academic excellence of students who achieved a GPA of 3.70 or higher.

This event recognized the dedication and perseverance of 290 high-achieving students from various programmes, including Software Engineering (SWE), Cyber Security (CYS), Computer Science and Technology (CST), Data Science (DSC), and Digital Media Technology (DMT).

The ceremony began with a welcome speech by SCDS Student Council President, Justin Poh Jun Ian, followed by an address from the Deputy Dean of SCDS, Dr. Tee Sim Hui, who congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to continue their pursuit of excellence. Each student was presented with a Certificate of Excellence, personally signed by the Dean, as a token of recognition for their hard work.

A highlight of the event was the 4.0 Awards, which honored students who achieved a perfect GPA of 4.0. These outstanding individuals were not only awarded a certificate but also received a special plaque, symbolizing their exceptional dedication and academic success.

As the ceremony concluded, students took the opportunity to capture memorable moments with their lecturers and classmates, celebrating their achievements together. To wrap up the event, the SCDS Student Council President made an exciting announcement, unveiling a trailer for upcoming company visit events and competitions, sparking enthusiasm among students for more learning and networking opportunities.
