On 3 March 2025, School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM), Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM), welcomed Dr. Heng Aik Teng and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Te Kian Keong for an external review of the Bachelor of Medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Honours) programme. The visit aimed to evaluate curriculum quality, assessment procedures, and alignment with industry standards.

Prof. Chen Shaodong, Dean of STCM, opened the session, followed by Dr. Chep Lee Lu Siang, Head of Programme, who presented the school’s strategic initiatives and curriculum enhancements. The examiners provided expert feedback on assessment methods, teaching methodologies, and continuous improvement strategies.

The visit included a tour of campus facilities, such as the library, laboratories, TCM centers, OSCE centers, herbal garden, and herbal processing room, where the examiners assessed the learning environment and resources available to students.
